Contrary to what many have been falsely telling us today, the controversy between “Globers” and “Flat Earthers” is not new. But it’s also true that the so-called “flat earth theory” is not a recent phenomenon as the Globers claim. Copernicus’ book in 1543, which put forth a theory that the Earth was a globe in a heliocentric system orbiting the sun, was rejected by his colleagues and the astronomers of his day for at least 130 years. Even then it only gained proponents slowly over the decades.

William Carpenter’s book One Hundred Proofs That The Earth Is Not A Globe was published in 1885, and it remains a classic. In this volume I bring you his original book in an easy-to-read format, with additional material.
