Real Books to Improve The Quality of Your Life

Real Books to Improve The Quality of Your Life is not just a clickbait title! Far from it. There’s so much more to say about the books you read, what goes into that precious brain of yours, and how you process and apply that information. Here’s why the inventory of books at BooksOnline.Club is worthy of your time and unlike so many other bookstores, offers you real practical applications that truly have proven to effectively improve lives dramatically. And I would be remiss if I did not also mention that there is another very significant variable you control based on the books you read. That variable might be summed up by simply saying that there are many non-fiction books that can mislead you and take you down a wrong path for decades. Let me unpack this whole idea so you can comprehend the true significance and value of our book offerings.

Quality of LifeWhy do people read books? There are two primary reasons people read books: 1.) to acquire knowledge and learn something, and 2.) for entertainment. If you want to improve the quality of your life, whether that includes business success, making more money or achieving financial freedom, or you want to work on yourself and become a better person with happier relationships, then you will read non-fiction books within your niche category. These are the kinds of books hosted at BooksOnline.Club.

Non-fiction books that focus on increasing knowledge and self-improvement, particularly non-fiction books that are well researched and based on what is actually true, will have the greatest life changing impact on you and do the most to improve the quality of your life in every way. These kinds of books are worth their weight in gold.

But if your motivation to read books is purely entertainment, you’ll be a purchaser of fiction books. There are many sub-categories within the fiction genre, so let’s take a look at these interesting statistics on fiction book sales:

  • Romance novels are the biggest category of fiction, generating over $1.44 billion in sales revenue.
  • In 12 months, over 19 million printed romance novels were sold in the United States.
  • Another popular category is fantasy books, especially in the YA sector. Some of the best-selling books of all time come from the fantasy genre, led by the Harry Potter series.
  • Together with science fiction, fantasy books generate over $590 million in revenue in the United States annually.
  • Around 12.5% of adult print books sold in the United States are thriller books, selling over 23 million copies per year.
  • Thriller and mystery books are also the second most popular genre category on audiobooks.

Another fiction category that’s gaining popularity is comic books. 2021 was a huge year for comic books and graphic novels after the devastating 2020:

  • Comic books and graphic novels sold over 94 million copies in 2021, bouncing from 63 million copies in 2020.
  • These sales generated over $2.07 billion in revenue, which increased by 70% compared to the previous year.
  • Graphic novels account for over 70% of all comic book sales, jumping from 47% just 10 years ago.
  • 56% of all comic books are sold in bookstores, while only 33.9% are sold through comic stores as of 2021.

Why am I sharing all these statistics on fiction books? I won’t go on a long rant here, but perhaps a short one will suffice. I’m sure you’ve noticed that many of the so-called romance novels today are what we used to call pornographic when I was a kid. Many of the book covers are embarrassing to look at. Detailed descriptions of sexual activities are part of the appeal of this genre. Another motivation for many is the appeal of fantasy, including satanic themes.

These categories of fiction may be entertaining, but they steal valuable time you’ll never get back, and worse–they fill the mind with unwholesome thoughts and damaging memories that can lead a person into a wasteland of day dreaming and fantasizing. Such habits can lead to sexual immorality, adultery, diseases, and divorce and financial disaster.

What books do you read?Granted, many read such fantasy books without the outward sins, but the damage is still being done inside them and they will reap the consequences in their relationships and in many areas of their lives. A parallel universe of wasted time and turning one’s brain into a vegetable is beyond the scope of this brief article, but you’ll recognize it as soon as I mention it. Games online are sucking people’s brains right out of their heads for those who play hour after hour every day. Perhaps for many who read mostly fiction novels and play online games it is all about escaping the realities of this life. The most popular games today are full of sorcery and rituals that are quite dangerous and often are the gateway to darker places. What a long and slow way to commit suicide!

If I ask you to describe the profile of the typical author and the typical reader of sexually explicit romance novels in the U.S., what would you say? Let me help you out. Here is the profile of romance novel authors and readers:

  • 82% of authors are women
  • 92% of authors are white
  • The average age of authors is 42
  • Most authors are 30 to 50’s
  • 82% of romance novels readers are women
  • 42 is the average age of readers

I won’t dwell on this, but the majority of women in the U.S. are secretly involved in a very dark world of sexual fantasies. We’re talking about the average white mother who is 42 years old secretly writing sexually explicit romance novels on her laptop when the kids are in bed. Her husband has no idea his wife is fantasizing about wild sex with other men in her novels, and her children would never in a million years guess how their mother sells so many books after she drops them off at their church’s summer camp. The vast majority of romance novels today are promoting sexual immorality at a level never imagined, because it’s all done in secret starting with the author all the way to the reader. It’s a secret dark world of sin, passion, and immorality.

There is a type of fiction that can be enjoyable and beneficial, but that kind of fiction still hangs onto what is true and right, such as C.S. Lewis’ allegories and J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings. The value of this kind of fiction is almost as good as non-fiction but with quite an entertainment component, and these kinds of books can surely add to the quality of your life. There’s nothing wrong with rest and relaxation that comes with entertainment, but you can do all that in a healthy way mentally, psychologically, and spiritually with discernment and self-discipline. It’s easy to fall off the wagon by deciding to relax with a movie that is full of trash and subtle propaganda, thereby defeating all your efforts during the week to have a healthy attitude. Choosing good non-fiction books over bad fiction is a giant step in the right direction in terms of your own health. Bad habits are hard to break, but the choice is always yours.

At BooksOnline.Club we strive to bring you non-fiction knowledge and self-help improvement books that will equip you better for the challenges you’ll face in this life, help you find answers to those impossible questions, and lead you down paths that will be fulfilling and bring you happiness and contentment and success. But we do not counterfeit truth. We don’t clothe evil in phrases and images that pretend to be true and all but guarantee lifelong happiness, wealth, and fame. The world is full of deception my friend. Be careful and be discerning what you read.

We’re adding books all the time and have more authors joining us, so our inventory will be increasing with books that also have the goal of helping you improve the quality of your life.

Looking for a Great Book to Read? Here it is . . .

What's it like growing up off the grid in remote Alaska? I did, so I wrote a book about it. I grew up in a 900 sq.ft. cabin with no electricity, only a homemade barrel stove for heat, no running water, and an outhouse. There were 2 tiny bedrooms, one for mom and dad, and the other for me and my 2 sisters and brother. We had to hunt and fish to feed the family, and cut 10 cords of wood to get through the long winters. There were tragedies and miracles, and some hilarious true stories.
